The Good, The Bad, and the ugly. It was all there. 23 days of sheer madness.
Let's take this in reverse. The Ugly. 500 calories a day. And exercise actually being listed as a reason you might gain weight, so don't do it. I think both of those are probably the worst of the diet. Oh, and spending money on a placebo (arguably by some folks) drops 3x a day.
The Bad. That is how you feel. Even though you try to kid yourself that you feel great. The truth is, you are hungry most of the time and either thinking about the next time you are going to eat, or pick up smoking to deal with it. I had times when I just didn't feel like moving, and moving something heavier than 5lbs from here to there, really would leave me a bit winded.
The Good. Ok, so This is where I tell people I was surprised about this diet. And I'm not suggesting you do this diet to get these good things. I'm just telling you what I've learned. First, 25lbs lost in 23 days. Can't argue, that is not awesome. Besides the, YOU'RE LOSING IT TO FAST POLICE. Whatever. Second, portion control. I find myself, eating smaller portions in general. That's an awesome thing. I am also better at eating at meal time, and cutting out the snacking. Sure I still grab something here or there, but I am much better at it. This leads me to the next one, which is not eating late. I was notorious about eating close to bed time, and now I don't feel it necessary to eat before sleep.
So, even though it is a bit insane, and i don't really agree with it, I can't say I didn't develop better habits because of it. I could see someone possibly tripling the calories, eat the stuff it tells you to, and learning the same thing without such a drastic reduction and feeling better. Still mixed about a lot of things about it. I'm going to try and get hunter on another show and hopefully we can discuss a bit more in detail there.
